Good morning! Caden broke his fever this morning which is very exciting for three reasons. One, Caden is on his way to feeling better. Two, we get our sleep back and lastly, we get our sleep back ;)
Caden picked up this ear infection (this time affecting both ears compared to July where only one ear was affected) and his temperature rose on Thursday afternoon to 102. Last night around 2am it dropped to 98.
For a couple days we thought he might also have Pink Eye as he was rubbing his eyes and they were very red and watery. But as you know those are similar symptoms to the Ear Infection. Anyhow the fever is gone and he looks much better.
Caden has also been standing more and more on his own! Although the standing stints only last a few seconds it is still very fun to watch. Very very exciting!
Yesterday was tough for us as we had little to no sleep, work was busy and Caden needed much attention. But as Father Jim says, "Never Give Up" and we didn't with our patience with each other. Cath and I made it out of those woods and today we're doing much better.
No new changes on the home sale. We had a buyer that decided to step away while we were in the contract signing stages. This is where you agree to sell and they arrange a home inspection. So the home remains on the market with all the others and little to no showings. :( As we drove home from our local grocery store we counted 6 homes for sale of a distance less than a mile. That's a lot!
Aunty Nik gave us a date night on Thursday night which was awesome of her! Although it was tough to leave knowing the Caden was not feeling well we took the chance of leaving knowing that we were just a few miles from the house and could get back if needed. Instead of a typical date night of a movie and dinner we instead did some grocery shopping and grabbed a dinner. It was nice to visit TJ's on a Thursday instead of Friday as it would have been very tough with Caden being sick. We try hard not to shop on the weekend allowing us more time together, the four of us, to do work around the house or more time in the park together. So visiting TJ's together without Caden was weird. For a few seconds there we both felt as if we didn't have a child at home because this was our first time sole shopping, shopping without Caden. It was also strange to walk through the isles and browse and hold hands without having to rush, or to arrive there without throw up on your shirt, or having to rush because Caden is due for a nap, all those things. It was nice, we enjoyed it.... thank you Nik! :)
I've been working out the video process with my iPhone and soon I'll be able to have his video's posted in a quick manner.
I have a couple pictures of Caden playing with bubbles,
here.
