[ Lion shot in L.G. ]   A Lion was shot today in Los Gatos. Although there was the concern of the cat not being immediately affected by the tranquilizer at the least we can learn from this. Time to start purchasing GPS equipped tranquilizer.

[ and we're running.... ]   Completed my second half marathon this past weekend. I finished the Santa Cruz Half Marathon in 2 hours 23 minutes. That is 17 minutes faster than my goal and 6 minutes faster than my last half marathon. Rock on! On a side note. Looks like MArcus Ragnarsson is retiring this year. as a fan, I very much enjoyed his time on the ice playing for the Sharks.

[ I didn't know my mouse was that powerful ]   I just heard about this on-line hunting. Yes you heard right and it does exist to the point that Debra Bowen (D-Redondo Beach) is trying to pass a Bill on the subject. Ok so more specifically she is trying to pass Bill SB 1028 (another link) in the hopes that California will not partake in the shooting nor the transportation of the hunted meat from this Texas ranch. The Press is not picking up on this too fast as I've only seen one article and that was at News10 ABC in Sacramento. Rumor has it, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept is up in arms about it but they're not publically taking a stand against it. I couldn't find a pubic release stating their concern at all! Maybe their not concerned. But they are happy to state that Texas hunting accidents are at a record low! Maybe that is directly related to online hunting.... NOT! -Update- I did a quick search while I wrote this to assure I had the latest news feeds and I found that a few more sites are picking up the story. I see CNSnews, Realtree and surprisingly that the SJ Merc picked up the story two days ago. The Merc is surprising me more and more these days with their hotfoot in getting stories to print. They used to be slow and they... ok no rants needed here at this hour. Go get them Merc!

[ lie-on in golf ]   A Lion was caught in San Francisco on the 19th of March. Looks like golfing has new challenges. The second reporting of this seems to have more than the first. I think this story might be the first attempt to sue the state over a Lion issue.
