Yellow Dim Light
Yellow Dim Light
I can not see but you might
Growing teeth what a plight
Caressing walls down the flight
You cast shadows in the night
He is a beautiful sight
Yellow Dim Light
I was inspired by my son at 3:30am this morning as I fed him during
his teething turmoil.
It is a beautiful thing to be looking down on your child in the middle
of night while the town sleeps.
I guess words can not explain such a sight but I tried with this poem.

Teeth, teeth & more teeth
Three days ago Caden approached our stairs and tried to climb the first step. Yesterday he made his first steps up the stairs and Aunt Nik's house. Hours later at home he climbed the entire stair case. And he was giggling the entire time!

Caden's 9 month appointment
Caden had his 9 month Dr. appointment this week and he is doing great! He now weighs in at 22.9 lbs and is 49" long. Though he is still far above average in both categories he is starting to put on less weigh as he continues his crawling adventures. I just love how he giggles as he crawls around the house.... too funny!
It also appears that Caden has two more teeth coming in, his
Lateral Incisors. You can see the whiteness pressing up against his gums as of two days ago. Rightly so he has been in some pain and stirring throughout the night. But overall he is doing good.

Zac and his Adventures
Lately I've been following a young mans quest to sail across the sea's. Zac might be the youngest person to ever cross the world in a sail boat and you can follow his adventure via his blog. What is also fun about his adventure is his ability to utilize technology on his trip. Using Google Earth to track his locations, using solar panels to assist his travels and the use of a Satelite phone to stay in touch with his Parents and his electrician in North Carolina.
Zac left Hawaii a few days ago and is heading toward Majuro Island. In the middle of the Pacific toward Australia.
Recently Zac talks about planning his trip to avoid Pirates. Yes I did say Pirates. Modern day Pirates if you didn't know exist everywhere but for the most part are out of Indonesia. I have read in the past about these through many different sources and it's interesting to see there is a web site that tracks the crimes;Piracy Attack Maps.

Caden is one very cute boy!
This is a photo of Caden being silly with Catherine in the back seat of the car on our way home from visiting Mike & Jill. Caden loved seeing and playing with his cousins.
We were able to see the Indians fire as it burned through a valley toward Greenfield. That's a long way from where it started. There is a high pressure system that is expected to remain here for at least a week. This will bring warn dry weather and no onshore cool winds which will make fighting a fire of this size that much more difficult.
Back to Caden. He has started crawling! Catherine noticed it last week though I saw it for the first time on Sunday. At this point he is moving quick but what is even cuter is that he loudly giggles as he is crawling away! Very cute.
