[ 6 weeks to GO! ]
So sorry for not updating the blog after that 20 miler. It was an O.K. run, to be honest, my 18 was much stronger. I also learned how to be patient with my recovery after such a run. After a few glasses of wine that night I was not feeling very well at all ;) The worst part about getting sick like that, was that all during the run I kept thinking of eating a burrito afterwards. I had that burrito. It was yummy. Wasn't so yummy the second time ;)
This weekend I run my first 23 miles and I'll be running it in the city. It will be hot in the Valley but the city will have some good running temperatures. The most important part of running in the city is setting my expectation of running along the same path. Too often when running at a new site it's hard to set that mental expectation of where you're running to.. and this run will give me that peace during the race.
Holy -foxtail in my socks- Napoleon, six flipping weeks to go. I think 60 more butterflies just materialized in my stomach.
