[ lion attacks and sightings ] This story of a Lion being trapped and killed because of an irresponsible farmer sounds very similar to exerts I read in a book in which Colorado had the same concerns. City folk brought their city attitude into the hills. And so Californians are opting to take the wild into their own hands by trying legalize mountain lion hunting, proposed by Assemblyman Bill Maze. Some Lion footprints were found by the Humboldt State University residence hall. Maybe Palo Alto transferred their middle school preying lion up to HS. It's a joke ;) Today's population in California is estimated in the ranges between 4,000-6,000. Doesn't sound like too many, considering we are prime mtn lion country.
